Community Equipment Service and Minor Adaptations Team
Our Community Equipment Service sits within Manchester’s Equipment and Adaptations Partnership (MEAP)
We provide equipment and minor and major adaptations. We maintain satellite equipment stores across the city, as well as our main store at this location. We are a partnership with the NHS, with a Service Level Agreement. We deliver and collect community equipment and operate a full recycling facility.
We help Manchester residents of any age — from birth to end of life. We help people who are disabled, elderly or vulnerable.
We provide an equipment delivery service. When equipment is requested following an assessment or through our contact service, we will arrange and complete the delivery.
We complete collections for equipment that is no longer required. We carry out a full recycling process for returned equipment (including cleaning and electrical testing).
We carry out repairs and maintenance to our equipment in the community.
We install minor adaptations (grab rails, stair rails etc). We install community alarms on behalf of the Community Alarm Service.
Ordering and delivery:
The date of delivery for all equipment can be selected by the referrer, at the point of order.
- Next-day deliveries are available as standard for all orders placed before 12pm.
- Same-day deliveries are available but these are subject to an additional charge.
- Please note that any charge levied is to the referring organisation, never to the person the equipment is for.
