Free Care Recruitment Event taking place at Wythenshawe Forum in April

People are being offered the chance to find out more about roles and training that are available in adult social care in South Manchester at a free recruitment event on April 18th… You could even leave with a job offer!

The Adult Social Care Recruitment and Hiring event takes place in the foyer at Wythenshawe Forum from 10am to 1pm on Tuesday 18th April. It provides an ideal opportunity for anyone wanting to get into paid employment or thinking about a change of career.

Local care homes, home care and supported accommodation providers from across South Manchester that are hiring will be there on the day. They’ll be talking to visitors about the opportunities they have available and many will be interviewing on the day, so people could walk out with a job offer from the event.

There will also be career advisors on hand to talk about job opportunities in care and training providers that can advise on what courses are available. This includes fully-funded training with a guaranteed interview for a job at the end of the course.

The event is organised by Manchester Local Care Organisation (MLCO), which is a partnership between the NHS and Manchester City Council. MLCO provides the city’s NHS community health and adult social care teams. In addition to commissioning care from providers like care homes and home care teams in the city, the organisation also works to support their recruitment.

Jon Gavin from the Manchester Local Care Organisation team said:

“Adult social care is a really rewarding career helping people who need support in the local community. Local providers are actively looking to recruit into roles they have available and it’s a great opportunity for anyone looking for a change in career, or wanting to get into work, to start a new career.

“Once you’re working in care there are many opportunities to progress into other roles as well so it can set you up for a career for life. There are flexible working opportunities to suit people’s needs and fantastic training and support that give you recognised national qualifications.”

You can drop in on the day at the Forum or reserve a place now for a timeslot that suits you. Book online at http://bit.ly/3K8GFJh or find out more about the event and roles in care at www.manchesterlco.org/jobsfair
