- Orthoptists
- Podiatrists
- Dietitians
- Speech and Language Therapists
What is AHPs’ Day?
AHPs are the third largest healthcare workforce. AHPs’ Day is celebrated on the 14th of October and provides an annual opportunity for AHPs to come together and celebrate being part of the AHP family. The day allows AHPs to showcase to others the impact they make in the delivery of high-quality care. The collaborations in services, organisations, trusts, regions and nationally enable:
- Improved awareness of the role of the allied health professions
- Showcasing the achievements of local services and their impact on patient care and population health
- Integrated working with other services and organisations.
AHPs’ Day 2023 Theme
The theme for 2023 is — AHPs in the right place, at the right time, with the right skills.
As always strengthening and promoting ‘the AHP community’ (as one of the areas of focus from AHPs Deliver) underpins the celebrations. Let us acknowledge the impactful skills in patient care; inspire the future workforce; and foster connections that ensure AHPs are integral to workforce transformation and pathway enhancements within systems.
For AHPs’ Day 2023, we’re shining a spotlight on our AHPs across the LCOs for the whole week, so please keep an eye on our Twitter page (www.twitter.com/mcrlco) for all of the celebrations.
