Join the Movement: Become a Neighbourhood Health Champion in Hulme, Moss Side, and Rusholme!
The health and wellbeing of our community is more important than ever, and now, you have the chance to make a real difference right where you live. The Neighbourhood Health Champions initiative is looking for local residents from Hulme, Moss Side, and Rusholme to step up and become advocates for positive change.
In partnership with the Manchester Local Care Organisation (MLCO) and local community groups, this programme aims to empower individuals to share advice, guidance, and support on health and wellbeing issues within their communities. Whether you’re passionate about physical health, mental wellbeing or helping others access local services, your voice can make a big impact.
What’s a Neighbourhood Health Champion?
A Neighbourhood Health Champion is someone who is deeply rooted in the local area and wants to promote healthier living within their community. You don’t need to be an expert or have a medical background – all you need is a desire to help others and the willingness to connect with your neighbours. As a Champion, you’ll have the opportunity to support people by sharing essential health and wellbeing advice, providing access to local services, and encouraging healthier lifestyles.
Why You Should Get Involved
Becoming a Neighbourhood Health Champion is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills, meet new people and contribute positively to your local area. You’ll receive training and ongoing support, so you’ll never feel alone in your role. Plus, the work you do will directly impact the health and happiness of your community.
Interested? You don’t need any special qualifications – just a desire to make a difference. If you’re from Hulme, Moss Side, or Rusholme and want to learn more, get in touch to see how you can become a Neighbourhood Health Champion!
