Community health services in MLCO are inspected and rated by the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Our health services are inspected as as part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (the host organisation for health services for the LCOs).
Overall community services
In the last overall inspection of services in Autumn 2018 (report published in March 2019), community services in Manchester were rated as Good by the CQC. This inspection looked at our community services for both adults and children.

144 Short Breaks Service
The short break service is a care home providing planned and unplanned respite care for adults. It is run by MLCO and located at 144 Wythenshawe Road. The service specialises in providing support for people living with complex needs associated with autism and/or a learning disability.
In the last overall inspection of services in October 2020 (report published in December 2020), the short breaks service was rated as Good by the CQC.
