Celebrating World Social Work Day 2022
On World Social Work Day (Tuesday 15 March), social workers worldwide stand together to celebrate the achievements of the profession and take the theme message into their communities, workplaces and to their governments to raise awareness of the social work contributions and need for further action.
Follow each year’s celebrations on social media, worldwide, at #WSWD or on the website of the The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW).
IFSW is a global organisation striving for social justice, human rights and social development through the promotion of social work, best practice models and the facilitation of international cooperation.
This year’s theme is Co-building a New Eco-Social World: Leaving No One Behind.
The theme presents a vision and action plan to create new global values, policies and practices that develop trust, security and confidence for all people and the sustainability of the planet. World Social Work Day 2022 will be a highlight opportunity for the social work profession to engage all social work networks and the community they work within to make contributions to the values and principles which enable all people to have their dignity respected through shared futures.
Message from our Director of Adult Services Bernie Enright sharing her gratitude to our social workers.
