Homeless Families Health Visiting Team
The team work with families who have presented as homeless with Manchester City Council and who have been placed into temporary accommodation. This may include Hotels, B&Bs, supported accommodation or dispersed accommodation. Other Greater Manchester boroughs may place families in hotels within Manchester and when notified our team can also offer support to these families whilst they remain within Manchester.
Our contact hours are 8:30am – 4:00pm.
Our aim is to provide intensive support for families at a time of crisis in their lives.
The team works with families who are placed into temporary accommodation in Manchester by the local authority.
The team provides a city-wide service and works as part of a wider multi-agency team alongside designated housing workers and midwives. The team work with homeless families and pregnant women. The team also provides a service to school age children who are not in school.
